AI Chats: Your Monthly Allowance and Buying More
What an AI Chat Is
Each message you send to the AI helper that it works on uses one chat from your shop's monthly pool, shared across the whole shop. Asking it to simply open a page is free, and tapping Approve or Skip is free.
How Much, and When It Resets
Basic: about 150 a month. Pro: about 500. Approximate, since a longer conversation uses a bit more. The pool refills at the start of each month; unused monthly chats do not carry over.
Checking and Running Out
Go to Settings > Subscription and look at the Usage card. The AI Chats This Month row shows how many you have used; the bar turns amber, then red, as you near the limit. If you use them all, the helper tells you in the chat. Wait until next month, or the owner can buy more.
Buying More Chats
A one-time top-up; only the shop owner (or whoever manages billing) can do it.
- Go to Settings > Subscription.
- On the AI Chats row of the Usage card, tap Buy more chats.
- Pick how many packs with the plus/minus buttons. Each pack is about 1,000 chats for $10, up to 20; the total shows before you pay.
- Tap Continue to payment to pay by card on a secure Stripe page, then return to the Subscription tab.
Purchased chats appear in the Usage card, usually right away. If not, tap Refresh; the payment can take a few seconds to settle.
How Purchased Chats Work
- They never expire and roll over until used.
- Used last: KeyBolt spends your monthly allowance first, so a top-up is never wasted at month-end.
- A separate Purchased chats left meter appears once you have some.
Who Can Buy
Only the owner or a billing manager sees the Buy more chats button. Others who hit the limit are told to ask the shop owner.
